LOVING OUR CITY ONE NEIGHBOUR AT A TIME
CHRIST’S LOVE,
MANY WAYS TO SERVE
Real people bringing the light, life and love of Jesus to Calgary’s hungry, lonely and overlooked — and there’s a place for you.
OUR STORY
IT STARTED WITH ABOUT 30 PEOPLE - AND A FLOOD.
In 2013, a small group at Eastside began to feel a growing passion for outreach. Then the river rose. Alongside Samaritan’s Purse, they pulled on their boots and served the hardest-hit neighbourhoods of downtown Calgary and High River.
From that one act of love, a ripple began. Today CityCare volunteers serve warm meals, visit seniors, bring hope behind prison walls, cook for families at Ronald McDonald House and welcome every neighbour home.
“The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.”
