Host Teams are an essential part of church life and make Highlands feel like home to every person who walks through our doors. The environment we create goes far beyond big smiles, a friendly greeting and hot coffee―God uses Host Teams to set the stage to reach more people and change lives.

• Auditorium Host Team
An Auditorium Host is a volunteer who serves in our church auditorium, warmly welcoming attendees and newcomers through introductions and friendly conversation, helping everyone feel seen, valued, and connected.

• Baptism Team
The Baptism Team hosts Water Baptism Experiences, ensuring the environment is excellent and meaningful for those making a public declaration of their faith in Jesus.

• Breakfast Club Team
The Breakfast Club Team  purchases, prepare, and sets out breakfast for our first-service guests and attendees, ensuring a warm and welcoming start to their Sunday morning at 8-8:25AM.

The Coffee Team provides a welcoming cup of coffee and a warm smile to our guests every Sunday and at various special services.

The Seasonal Decor Team helps transform spaces for ROVC services, providing distraction-free, excellent environments where guests can experience God at certain times of the year.

The Greeter Team creates a positive first impression by welcoming, greeting, and encouraging each guest as they enter and exit the church.

The Health & Safety Team use their gifts and servants hearts to maintain a clean, sanitized and safe space inside the building at services, conferences and special events.

The Meet and Greet Team warmly welcomes guests and provides information, assists with directions, and prepares refreshments, creating a friendly and hospitable environment where visitors feel valued and connected.

• Parking Team
The Parking Team gives guests a positive first and last impression as they arrive and exit by providing clear direction for a safe and efficient parking experience.

• Plan-A-Visit Team
The Plan A Visit Team provides a warm and personalized welcome to guests who schedule their visit through the Plan A Visit feature on our website. This team ensures that each guest is greeted, guided, and supported from the moment they arrive, helping them feel valued, informed, and connected throughout their experience at the church.

The Altar Prayer Team provides prayer covering for services, conferences, teams, and ministries within the church.

The Security team is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all attendees during Sunday morning services. Their primary focus is to prevent, respond to, and manage any potential safety risks.

The Usher Team provides a positive worship experience by assisting guests with seating, and helping to secure a distraction-free worship environment.

• Welcome Centre Team
The Welcome Team helps guests take their next steps by providing resources and information related to first-time guest connections, Fresh Start materials, Sunday services, Growth Track, and any other support that may help them feel informed and cared for.

The MPK Check-In Tim creates a welcoming environment and assists families with checking in, dropping off, and picking up children in all Mission Possible Kids areas.

The Nursery Team serves Child from ages six weeks through age 3 and offers them the opportunity to hear the life-giving message of Jesus through Bible stories, worship, prayer, and hands-on activities.

The Quest Team invests in the lives of children in grades four through five by giving them the opportunity to discover and develop a passion for God through Bible lessons, encouraging them to ask questions and engaging in small group discussions.

The Ignite Team serves youth in grades six through nine, teaching the Bible through interactive lessons, stories, and activities that help students connect scripture to their daily lives and grow in character and faith.

• Legacy Young Adult Team
The Legacy Young Adults team is passionate about building community for ages 18–35 and is all about growing together in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming environment. Every week we gather to hang out, dive into the Bible, worship, enjoy snacks, and build meaningful community.

The ROVC CityCare Outreach Teams partner with trusted organizations to share the love, hope, and compassion of Jesus in practical, life-changing ways. Through feeding the hungry, supporting the sick, providing resources, and building genuine relationships—especially with those who feel forgotten or hurting—we serve our community with kindness, hospitality, and a passion to reflect Christ’s love.

• CityCare Outreach Team
Our outreach teams serve both the Ogden and Forest Lawn Victory Churches by providing lunches on Sundays, preparing sandwiches for the homeless during the week, supporting intake and hamper preparation, and driving the ROVC van on Sundays to pick up women from the Women’s Shelter so they can attend church.

The Prison Ministry Teams serve those in the Calgary Remand Centre, Youth Remand centre and the Calgary Correctional Centre, providing prayer support, spiritual guidance and displaying the love to Jesus.

Our Seniors Homes teams bring worship, short Biblical messages, and prayer to seniors in facilities across Northwest Calgary.

Our worship team creates a warm and biblically grounded atmosphere of praise that helps lead the congregation into meaningful connection with God. Their heart is to lead worship, not to perform, through thoughtful song choices, musical excellence, prayer, and creativity that supports the message. Alongside them, our production teams serve by providing sound, lighting, visuals, and livestream support that helps create an environment where people can worship without distraction. Together, they cultivate a multi-generational space where people can encounter God and experience unity as the Body of Christ.

Our choir ministers by offering a unified voice of praise to the Lord, especially during Easter and Christmas. Through heartfelt worship and beautifully blended voices, we seek to bring hope, joy, and encouragement to our congregation as we celebrate the life and love of Jesus.
